For Karine Chevallier, perfume needs passion and time.
« A passion that led me to study chemistry and in 1993 I entered ISIPCA, then the unique perfumery school. As soon as I graduated I discovered that creating a perfume deserves the patience of the years : understanding raw materials, the art of blending, listening, luck, faith and encounters…
In 1996, I joined as a junior perfumer a prestigious fragrance company, where I was trained by Mark Buxton. There I learnt my artcraft in the memory of my first perfume teacher : the french perfumer Jean-François Blayn, himself being a disciple of M. Edmond Roudnitska.
It is only in 2000 after having completed a Master Degree in Luxury, and after an experience within Guerlain, that I finally understood what was a perfume : a dream in between artcraft and art, a product of matter and wonder, an history of memories and universal luxury.
In, 2001, I became the head manager of the parisian department of a fragrance company homebased in Grasse, until 2005 when i decided to create my own company : Olfactive Design
